A Hong Kong born Chinese, I studied in HK then the UK.  Upon return, I worked as a management consultant before making a career turn to become a full-time artist.  In summer 2011, I graduated from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco with an MFA in Painting – Non-figurative. 
 
In the early years of my art career since 1998, I cultivated a robust technical foundation in painting under the guidance of a Chinese master.  Later, through my MFA studies in which I delved into abstract art, I fearlessly create and express, integrate concepts and bridge pictorial elements.  In recent years, my art has undergone a significant transformation, transitioning from representational origins to conceptual compositions and abstract expressionism. 
 
I have had solo exhibitions in Hong Kong and the US.  I also exhibit annually with Artists Abroad, with which I have been a member since 2002.  As an active artist, I involve in local and overseas community projects, artist-in-residency programs, juried art competitions, commissioned works, art teaching, as well as art education and consultancy projects.
