Vase #2 - 8"x8" watercolor on paper. After painting Vases #1, I have fallen in love with the yellow ochre and sienna! Painting flowers always made me nervous as tone variation has to be really subtle, but I had fun with this piece of work. Yes, a happy addition to my "Homescapes' series. simplyeliza.com Home is where the art is :)

Vases #1 - 8"x8" watercolor on paper. Painting small watercolor is always an in-between-big-paintings activity to liberate my mind, my hands, shoulders, to slow down, to make interesting marks in small scales, and to discover new ideas for bigger works. I'm also seeing a series of vases to add into my "Homescapes' series. simplyeliza.com Home is where the art is :) So I'm wanting to do daily painting ... or a serious-one-in-a-few-days painting. Working on the iPad is fun, so here is a good start on the first day of year 2015 :)
