This art will be a wedding gift 🎁. Client chose this from my mixed media art series for a dear friend who loves to watch over his bookworm wife-to-be.
There is one art piece in the Awakening series that the two birds are together in a nest. But client said they each need to (learn to) have their own space too - that's love n respect! Woke up at Phuket villa to see so many likes and messages at social media, including a previous client wanting a piece of my work, that just makes my vacation! Now I'm ready to jump in the water for a morning swim before heading for breakfast!
I didn't realise this little created figure has been officially exhibited since end of 2005, so it's more than 10 years! Thanks to inspirations in life, I've been making her more and more bubbly. Go girl!
Movements - A series of some emotive figures in either a dynamic or static composition or gesture to portray a confident, savvy and free-spirited character. Went back to see this contemporary art second time at Tate Modern. I grinned, remembering my own digital drawing!
Having worked on digital art and viewing art online for a while, the recent visits to museums and galleries appreciating masterpieces and tangible art were actually revitalising. When certain places/people impress more with the movements, noises and moods, hence getting my attention, a sketchbook or iPad always come in handy. I can just jot down points of interest, and turn those seemingly touristy spots, some must-take-a-selfie scenes, or everyday corners, into a travelling memoir. Hah! some may even be inspirations for new creative pieces!
Oh how I loved seeing this painting again! Went in to the Marina to do a little fixing for the client who put the commissioned artwork into their new (well not so new now) boat. It was found having a small scratch on the surface after a recent South China Sea Race. So happy to know that it is a very treasured piece there.
