Spiky vs Soft ... what a contrast, yet I used the end of one project to feed the next - What was good? What could be better? What to avoid? What was missed? Second piece was painted within 2 hours right after the first one

With a limited palette, this piece (an almost-there-work-in-progress) came along delightfully. A few good sessions for some major courageous brushwork, rag-works and block-outs to go in, with much contemplation in between. A quick work? May be, or else it would be overworked! Very thankful there is deadline to meet.
A little sweet to my surprise, as I love to identify it as a cool black/white work, but I guess it goes well with the series of Garden-Picking. Thought this bubble series of work was over, but ideas kept coming back - fluorescent yellow and green, very 3D ... can't wait to go back to HK, get back to studio, and play with the paints and solvents. |
